Wedding Photography, Yorkshire
A selection of wedding photographs taken around Yorkshire that I view as my favourites from 2018! Something I want to mention is that I believe to tell the story of a wedding day it is not possible through just one image. Instead, I believe that the story of your big day is captured through a series of images. Below each image I point out why I love the photograph, these are all small moments throughout the day that I feel add to the bigger picture.
Capturing cute facial expressions from kids has to be one of my favourite parts of a wedding day… Say hello to the coolest kid on the block!
Sometimes it is all about the angles. I love getting creative when showing off your beautiful wedding dresses.
This pup just wanted to be part of the party!
Images that capture a moment and tell a story are truly important. Here, the bride takes a moment before she changes into her beautiful gown.
I love adding layers into your images to give them a bit of depth. Here I used Christmas lights to add some sparkle to this beautiful couples portrait.
Quick! Whilst no one’s looking…
Remembering those who are no longer with us is always an important part to many weddings. This bride did something very special for her loved ones. I just had to make this shot black and white.
This is one of my favourite child portraits from a wedding, I love how fairy like these cute girls look!
I am always looking for interesting foregrounds that frame the photos, making this beautiful couple the centre focus.
Stepping back and capturing a larger view of the location can make a beautiful image. This was taken at York Museum Gardens with the amazing architecture of the Abbey ruins.
Shooting through windows can create really great light effects. I love getting pretty reflections and a candid photo at the same time.
Sometimes it’s all in the details…
Natural and relaxed group photographs are always fun!
This image is one of my favourites because I love the moody contrast and the colours. The detail of her dress is so stunning.
Confetti! Always such a fun picture to get!
Beautiful images that have a deeper meaning are incredibly important photographs. Here, Hannah poses in the exact same spot as her mother did on her wedding day.
